Book–The Edge of Vision: The Rise of Abstraction in Photography by Lyle Rexer
The first book in English to document the phenomenon of Abstract Photography and to put it into historical context. Author Lyle Rexer examines abstractions with illustrated history of the topic, explores a multitude of photographers-Edward Weston, Aaron Siskind, Barbara Kasten, Ellen Carey and James Welling. The book also throws light the works of many contemporary artists -most prominently Penelope Umbrico, Michael Flomen, and Adam Broomberg and Oliver Chanarin. Interviews with key practitioners and critics of the subject.
