on a wild and dark, they tried to elope away,
a strong mother clutching her child in one arm,
and a knife in another, to shield her infant from
that brutal world, these flames being her only
ray of hope amidst those murky mysterious aisles..

“I am presenting a tenth and the last version of Photo Poetry ”
Why is it the last version? 😦 Please tell me that is some typo or that you aren’t ending the photo poetry altogether..
And am happy to see the extended time.. 🙂 Thanks 🙂
Missed to be the early bird, but would definitely chirp in.. 😉

Aadhira, I happy that people loved this concept so much, but I have to spend much time on this for every edition. I have short time to spend on this, hence it is the last. I will be more happy if somebody will take this responsibility to continue on this! Thanks for concern!

The torch of Olympus in the stark of the unlit night
A beacon of hauls of medals for men in blue
The reverie of a billion patriots with hearts thumping
Oh..Light of the Greek Gods, end the fiasco
Lead us to the podium and to tricolour flutter
Radiate the cheer and set the tracks ablaze.

I view it as the flame of freedom on the eve of our
70th independence day
Flame Of Freedom
Flame of freedom reminding me of the martyrs who lost thier lives for thier beloved motherland
Flame of hope showing us the way through the darkness of our lives
Flame of love that binds all my Indian brothers and sisters together.

Flame
A tiny spark kindles a warm glow
twirling and dancing in a mystic trance.
Then, you adorn a bright and bewitching demeanor
your smile negates all darkness.
Burning yet giving, spreading light
to all who seek, a beacon to the lost soul.

Are you friend or foe?
Are you the friendly warmth
that keeps me alive
from the dreadful darkness?
Are you the scorching flame
that burns me alive
from living this beautiful life?
